Aulis Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Aulis Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a premium quality olive oil produced from selectable olives that are processed through cold extraction, thus providing excellent nutritional elements and very low acidity, with a rich aroma and exceptional taste.
Aulis olive oil is produced from olives grown exclusively in the Euboea island. The journey begins in the middle of October, which is the ideal period for harvest. Based on the desired result in taste, although olives can be harvested at any point during the ripening season Aulis prefers the early harvest when the olives are still green. While the production is less at this stage, it gives the olive oil a distinguished taste and also higher levels of polyphenols and antioxidants. The olives are cold-pressed (25C) resulting in the olive juice to keep its beneficial elements and also have an exceptional aroma and taste.
Our olive oil is being stored under controlled temperatures (20c) to inox tanks for a short time to allow the natural sedimentation. Aulis olive oil is bottled exclusivelly by our devoted personnel and the packaging practices are certified to ISO 22000 (HACCP).
The packaging of Aulis olive oil has been created with the purpose to bring the uniqueness that Greek nature offers. Having simplicity as its main characteristic, it was designed in such a way to ensure the presence of the original ingredients of olive oil but also to identify its color. The colors used in the wrap of the bottle highlight the Greek element and also the coastal area of Aulida, which is full of olive groves.
The deer is the sacred animal of Artemis (goddess of vegetation & haunting) and has been chosen to lead us on a qualitative journey, full of flavors and memories, the path to Greek taste.
Olive oil holds the main stage of the Mediterranean diet and in ancient times our ancestors were aware of its value. In fact, Homer characterized olive oil as “gold liquid”, while Hippocrates recognized its healing properties.
The Olives, from which olive oil is derived are traditionally grown in the Mediterranean, with Greece being consistently one of the countries with the largest production of olive oil.
